Grass Clump and Official Logos

This multipurpose grass clump has been available inworld for a while now as mod/copy and mod/transfer, and last month was released as a full perm kit. It's a basic, utilitarian shape that a number of clever content creators have already found other uses for, such as synthetic fibers and fur.

Also, these free logo textures were released inworld today, a few people have asked for a nice official logo they can incorporate into their box art, ect.

Hibiscus Flowers

Hibiscus flowers have been released at Arctic Greenhouse. These feature a fully sculpted stamen (center piece), and are one of the most detailed prim flowers I've released yet. Cavernous Fountain

This Mod/Transfer, highly detailed natural decorative fountain is only 27 prims. Animated water is accented by particle splashes.

When the owner clicks on the base of the cavernous fountain, ambient sound is toggled on or off.

The cavernous fountain uses specially formatted particles that recalculate size, speed, radius, and other variables automatically when the entire object is scaled.

In other words, this is a modifiable object and unlike some particles you may have seen it will not break when you change the scale, just manually resize the entire fountain and after a second or two the particles will automatically be adjusted to match its new size.

WANTED : Escape duck

Earlier this month, Arctic Greenhouse received a shiny package containing a duck to place for Madpea's Duck Hunt. Unfortunately, I was too busy sculpting (and cursing at) tulips to properly care for and place this duck, and he evaded captivity quicker than I could say “flew the coup”. But you can help! Find this fowl escapee and bring him to justice, and we'll give you the free rare Vanda orchid planter seen below!

Now, this dangerous duck cannot and will not just be "hunted". This renegade duck is mad as hell and intends to put up a fight! Talk with our slightly-disgruntled and myopic Robot Trainer in the underground volcanic area, and learn the skills needed to rise up to the challenge of your rival - just a duck, and his will to survive!

This mission consists of 1 small hunt-challenge (finding 2 supporting items) and then preparing for and confronting the duck in a short non-interactive cutscene. The entire mission should take about 5 minutes, and you might even enjoy it! ;)

The Madpea Duck Hunt is going on right now and lasts until the end of this month, so if you'd like to check out the fun or get the free planter you'll have to get here before the month ends.

I had a blast planning and setting this up, and hope you enjoy it - any feedback is appreciated, as this was also a "test project" to see how well a fully scripted machinima-type scene would work in SL, and I'd love a reason to make more in the future if enough people enjoy it.

Wrought Iron Kit

This is a builders kit that I've wanted to make for a while, it's a series of decorative curves and curls that will work great for furniture and buildings. The kit comes with a whopping 365 color textures, as the light and shadow is baked for each individual piece. The color textures come in bumpy black wrought iron, basic white (works best for tinting to any color), gold, silver, and a wood base.

First, I wanted to let everyone know that the spring sale will end June 22nd, 2 weeks from today.

Next, we have a bunch of new mod/trans croton plants now available inworld, including new "v2" realistic red and green colors, taller tower shaped crotons, and the not-so-realistic pink and blue alien colored crotons.

Underground Hotspot and New Minigame

Underground, far beneath the Arctic Greenhouse, an underground cavern filled with lava and active volcanoes has been uncovered. This geothermal hotspot is accessible by way of a portal which has appeared near the landing point of Alternate Reality Island.

Once inside, feel free to explore this new area, or play the brand new freebie-minigame. Solve the SlidePuzzle you find there and win a free vase with yellow and white flowers.

Deadwood Juniper Bonsai

New Bonsai tree at Arctic Greenhouse, this carefully crafted piece uses a combination of small alpha branches, supported by a solid backdrop to minimize and almost eliminate traditional flicker issues. It features stylish deadwood pieces and a realistic planter.

There are two versions of this bonsai, first the "plain" or flowerless version, which weighs in at 16 prims and is only available inworld. Second, the flower-covered large version is 26 prims, with orchids growing through the deadwood pieces and yellow daisies on the ground. The flower-covered version is available both inworld and on XStreetSL. While the flower-covered one is larger, and the plain one is smaller and on a table - they both come mod/transfer so you can resize them to fit any space.

Full Perm Plant Kit Question

The question I've gotten the most recently is if I would sell full perm versions of the plants available in the greenhouse. I've broken the current line of plants down into 3 groups, and plan on (tentatively!) releasing them as follows :
Kit A (Bamboo Plant, Bamboo Fern, grass clump, possibly one reworked grass clump concept)
Kit B (Croton, Caladium, Palm/Strelitzia leaf variations possibly)
Kit C (Aloe Vera, Snake Plant, possibly more variations of these or one additional similar plant)

One thing that I plan to do differently is to release the objects full perms, and with full perm textures, but not including sculpt maps for these kits. After evaluating peoples responses and usage of the existing flower kits, I feel this may be a good way to provide these plants to people for use in prefabs, landscaping projects, ect. While I realize some people may want full perm sculpt maps, I also want to do what I can to protect and promote the work that I do here so that I can continue creating more. :)

So if you want or would prefer full perm sculpt maps, no matter if you're interested in the kits or not, I'd like to know why. The only 2 reasons I have been able to think of are 1). The pieces will not show your name as the creator, and 2). Inability to edit and change the shape in an external application. If either of these are very important to you, or if there is any other reason you would prefer full perm sculpt maps, please IM me inworld (Logan Bauer) or leave a comment below. Thanks for reading!

Bamboo and Large Group Planter

Flower Vases

Due to recent demand I've decided to set up some standalone pre-arranged flower vases. :) These are mod/transfer, currently ranging from L$75 to L$150, and from 4 to 11 prims. You might also notice the new single prim Strelitzia (AKA "Birds of Paradise" or "Crane Lily") flower that comes in some of these vases. I am still fine-tuning and working on leaves and other matching pieces to go into a (possible) Strelitiza Full-Perm kit, but currently they're only available in vases. Cartoon Trees (Cell Shaded)

I added 3 new cartoon trees recently, with black outlines (cell shaded). These are right outside the main AG/LVS building, but probably won't appear elsewhere such as XStreet any time soon. These trees are 4 prims each, currently priced at L$95 each, and with mod/copy permissions. I'm eager to hear any feedback (good or bad!), and if enough people find them useful I might try to make some more, along with matching cell shaded rocks and plants, ect.
